Xiaomi launched Mix Fold 3 last month with many impressive upgrades compared to the previous generation. In addition, there are rumors that the company is also working on a clamshell, vertical folding screen smartphone.

Accordingly, ITHome discovered a phone that is believed to be Xiaomi's vertical folding screen smartphone on the IMEI database with model number 2311BPN23C. The device is listed as "Mix Flip", confirming previous rumors. No other interesting details were found in the listing.

Previously, a report by GSMChina shared design images of Xiaomi MIX Flip. It will have a camera module reminiscent of the Xiaomi 11 Ultra. This camera system has 3 lenses and LED flash. One of the cameras is said to be capable of 3x optical zoom.

The phone will unsurprisingly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC which is due to become official next month. Since the Mix Fold 3 is very thin and light for a foldable, perhaps the Mix Flip will have those attributes too in order to feel like it's part of the family.
