Xiaomi 13T confirmed to launch, equipped with 50MP Leica lens

Xiaomi 13T Pro is believed to be the global version of the Redmi K60 Ultra in the global market, as the two phones have almost identical specifications. Today, Xiaomi has announced that the Xiaomi 13T series, including the 13T and 13T Pro, will launch at the end of this month, on September 26. This information was confirmed through a post on the social media X of Lei Jun - the founder and CEO of Xiaomi. Lei Jun said the launch event will be held in Berlin, Germany and broadcast live on the Mi.com website. The Xiaomi CEO also said the Xiaomi 13T series was "co-designed with Leica," so we can expect Leica cameras to appear. However, Jun did not reveal how many different variants the product line will include.

Rumors suggest the 13T series will include two smartphones, the 13T and 13T Pro. The Pro model is said to be a renamed version of the Redmi K60 Ultra (or Extreme Edition) that is only sold in the Chinese market with some differences. Just 2 days ago, leaker @Sudhanshu Ambhore has just revealed information that the Xiaomi 13T will have a Leica camera variant, different from the standard model shared in leaks in recent times.

Previously, an unboxing video of the Xiaomi 13T appeared on Youtube giving us a glimpse of the new phone. From the information known so far, the Xiaomi 13T will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution (2,712 x 1,220 pixels), 446ppi pixel density, 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,600nits.

The internal power comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra chip, combined with 256GB of internal storage and 8GB RAM. The phone is equipped with a large 5,000mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging with Xiaomi Smart HyperCharge technology.

For the camera configuration, the Xiaomi 13T will have a 50MP main sensor (OIS), a 50MP 2x telephoto lens from Leica, a 12MP ultra wide angle lens and a 20MP front camera.
