Raising Awareness through Short Films

The "Speak Sustainability" Secondary School Short Video Contest invites teams of 2 to 4 secondary school students from the same school, nominated by a teacher. Multiple teams from the same school are allowed to join and compete.

The participating team will film a 1.5-minute short video addressing one of the following environmental-related topics: Energy and Climate Change, Atmospheric Pollution and Air Quality, Water Resources and Conservation, or Biodiversity and Nature Conservation. Academic judges will screen the submitted entries and 15 shortlisted videos will be uploaded onto the Kubuqi Award official website for public voting to determine the final winners.

Proposal for Green Development in Deserts

The International Desert Sustainable Development Proposal Competition is divided into local and international university groups, radiating the coverage of the competition from Hong Kong to worldwide. Participating teams must consist of 2 to 4 full-time undergraduates and postgraduates. Team members can be from different institutes, faculties, grades, and disciplines.

Students will propose an innovative and feasible desert sustainable development plan to propose resolutions for the ongoing desertification problems in the desert and address global carbon neutrality policy goals.

Expert judges will conduct online evaluations and select the finalists. Finalist teams will have the valuable opportunity to participate in a mentorship program, where they will receive expert guidance to refine their proposals. After the final submission, the local and international teams will participate in online or offline work presentations, where the judging panel will conduct live scoring. Winners will be announced before the awards ceremony.
